^^ It's rather shiny. It's ugly and shiny all at the same time I drew this for a contest. I'm not sure why I bothered. I suppose I figured it'd be fun. Since it's a costume design, I figured how clean the lines were didn't really matter, just as long as the costume looked awesome. This is a Renaissance theme. I wanted to do an old one, a modern one, and a futuristic one. I did the first 2. The little dude holding Zelda's dress is Kafei from Majora's mask, perhaps the only side quest guys that most people will recognize seeing as his was the only mask one could begin to figure out how to get without the help of a guide book. He's Zelda's servant in this one, I suppose.
So, yes. I stuck with the basic colors. Link's tunic got upgraded. I felt bad that I could have that snazzy piece of leather strapped across his chest for his sheath. He got a really nice one on his belt, though. I was going to give him a Robin Hood type hat, but then I figured that every last one of his outfits, despite their origin or importance, has that big elf hat so I let him keep it. It didn't completely break the theme. I probably should've given Zelda a big wig or something, but I really didn't want to. I felt so bad for her. She's already dressed in way too much lilac that looks bad enough on her already with how pale she is (purple's a royal color. What cha gonna do?). She has a tight, lace up bodice (which looks great on her) and i figured I'd give her the most complicated, high-maintanence sleeves I could find seeing as she's important. And I gave her a mash in honor of Sheik.
Link's being an honorable gentleman and escorting her.
And I don't think Zelda would ever hide in fear behind Link, but I tried going with the theme of the time... which would be the pretty lady hiding behind the valiant warrior...
^^ Zelda has a mask too. How appropriate.
And the master sword turned into the master Rapier... kinda...
OO! A history junkie! I convinced a history junkie! Well, alright! That's awesome! An amazing job, eh? Oo! Fills me up with contentment Are you an overall history junkie? A European history junkie? Do you specialize in a certain time period or is it just clothing or what?

I'm just a history junkie in general. If it's vintage, I love it, if it's prehistoric, I love it, if it's from any time period that I'm too young to know about personally, I absolutely LOVE it! ... ... ... ...Yeah. I'm a bit of a weirdo.

^^ oh cool! No, that's not weird. Having a passion isn't weird. I'm not a history junkie, but I do love hallowed antiquity. I don't love every time period and location, but I like a whole lot of them And futuristic stuff... I'm kinda a contradiction within myself
